Description

50 of the world's hardest dishes. One deck of cards with scratch-offs to track your progress. Zero excuses.

Each card is a real recipe, rated by difficulty and timed from "easy evening" to "clear your weekend." Cook it, then scratch off the card to track your progress.

Comes with a fun chef's hat, because a five-hour Croquembouche deserves a costume to match.

what’s in the box

50 recipe challenge cards, with difficulty rating, time estimate, words of culinary wisdom, and flavor profile tag. Scratch-off completion panel on every card, revealed only once you've actually cooked the dish. One super cool chef's hat in a box that needs no wrapping, or introductions, just a cook that can handle the heat.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: We process orders within 1 business day (weekends and holidays don't count). Once it ships, standard delivery takes 3–9 business days, depending on where you are and which shipping method you pick. You'll get a tracking link so you can watch your box make its way to the master’s kitchen.

We ship worldwide, so timelines can shift a little depending on your region, customs, and local carriers. Shipping cost is based on weight, size, and destination.

Need to change your address? Email us ASAP — once your order's processing, changes get tricky. Want to cancel? Same deal: get in touch before it ships and we'll sort it.

Returns: Not the right fit? Return your unused box within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Cards and hat should be unused, scratch-offs un-scratched — once you've cooked your way through it, it's yours to keep.

FAQ

Do I need to be an experienced cook?

Look, it obviously won’t hurt, it would be silly to pretend otherwise, but we know you’ve got it in you, and what’s the worst case scenario, you burn your Soufflé?

Is this a game or a challenge?

It’s definitely a challenge, but we’re not going to stop you from making it a game if you like to live dangerously. Some chefs like to take a drink every time they make a mistake, and some whenever they get something right, either way you’ll have a good time.

How long do the recipes actually take

Anywhere from a quick-ish evening to a full weekend project. Every card lists its time estimate up front so you know what you’re getting into.

Who is this for?

Kitchen Impossible was made for people that desperately need to learn how to cook through a trial by fire, for the foodies that should spend more time cooking than eating, and the cooks that think they can do better than the chef on TV.

Does the Chef’s hat come in different sizes?

Our chef’s hat has an adjustable velcro strap that makes fitting it to your giant (or tiny) brain very easy. We haven’t found a head too big or too small for it yet so you or the recipient will be fine!

Are the recipes authentic to where the dishes come from?

Not only are these dishes authentic, many of them require real traditional techniques and ingredients, no shortcuts that water down the difficulty. If you don’t recognise the flag for the country of origin, we encourage you to improve your flag knowledge.

Remember that time you got them a candle and they said Wowww how thoughtful, yeah neither do they. So get it right this time and get them something unforgettable.

What’s the point of attempting the hardest dishes in the world if you don’t look the part. Channel your inner Gordon Ramsay or Julia Child, but not Homer Simpson.

Amazing birthday gift!!
Rating

Bought two packs for each of my sisters that are constantly arguing who is the better cook. They live in separate states so they share their pics in the group chat and the family decides who did it better. Great idea for people that love to cook.

Really damn hard
Rating

I’m a second year chef in training AND work in an Italian restaurant so some of these dishes really tested my abilities. The Italian dishes were easy but I struggled so hard with the desserts, especially the mille feuille. I was so happy I received this for Christmas I had to come and leave a review.

Easy date night fun
Rating

My boyfriend and I fail almost every single dish above the easy section since neither of us can cook but we have fun every single time. The jokes on the cards are hilarious as well and the scratch offs are a perfect way to keep track of progress. We do one dish a week, and we’re on 16 so far!!

Not for kids
Rating

For other parents reading this review the product itself is amazing, just don’t make the mistake I made and think your kids should be anywhere near these cards or they will destroy your kitchen.

Christmas came early

I bought this for myself since I got tired of themed cooking books for specific diets or cuisines. I appreciate that they’ve got dishes from all over the world since there is so much variety we miss eating the same food over and over.

Fun for moms

I’d consider myself an average cook but I had so much trying these new dishes. I did the dishes with my daughter who always wore the hat. She thankfully didn’t get some of the edgy jokes on the cards but really liked the quotes by famous cookes and the scratchoff.

Fun but really hard
Rating

Honestly I’m giving 4 stars because the super hard dishes are SUPER hard and I failed them so many times I had to skip a few. But I learnt a lot and impressed my friends with the ones I nailed. The chef’s hat is fantastic.

More chef’s hats!
Rating

The fact you get to have a chef’s hat the entire time you’re cooking even if you fail the recipe makes it 10x better. Honestly I wish the box came with two hats, since I do the cards with my bf.
